Increase the Room with the Balcony? Use wooden deck

 

How to increase the living room of an apartment without giving up any of the rooms? Integrating the balcony is the most practical solution and guaranteed success. That's what architect Vivi Cirello did for this 125 m² project in São Paulo. Inhabited by a young couple and a baby, the property now has more space to receive when the balcony gained  a wooden deck and glass closure, ensuring the most cozy decoration possible. “The deck gives a feeling of unity , it seems that the room has grown”, says the architect Vivi Cirello. Cariocas, residents asked the professional for colors in the carpentry shopand in some coatings. Check out the photos and get inspired.

Enlarging the room by taking advantage of the balcony was the challenge of architect Vivi Cirello in the project. In the photo, the living room has the TV room on the left and the living room on the right. Printed rug, by By Kamy. Next to the sofa with a cover, a Spot table. Curtains, by Sol & Art . The sideboard, by A Movelaria, is used as a support on feast days and also to store crockery. Because it didn't fit in the dining area, it stayed in the living room.

With a level deck at the same height as the living room floor, the porch has become a place to receive. Enclosed with glass and protected by solar panels, the space has sofas and a coffee table by Franccino Giardini and a rug by By Kamy. A small sideboard accommodates the minibar and the climate-controlled wine cellar. On days when the house is full, the furniture serves as a support for food and drinks.
